As part of a call for tenders launched by the Ministry of the Interior, the national gendarmerie and the national police sought to modernize and improve their fleet of mobile terminals. The existing devices were basic and no longer met the evolutionary needs of the police, especially in terms of critical communication, prioritization of networks and use of business applications. It was crucial to find a sustainable solution, efficient and adapted to intensive use in the field.
Crosscall has collaborated closely with the teams of the National Gendarmerie and the National Police to design a secure solution, by integrating a specific safety layer developed by the OSIIC. The deployment was done fluidly, with 40,000 smartphones delivered per month for six months, thanks to a constant dialogue and mutual trust between the teams.
The police appreciate the push-to-to-high functionality of CrossCall aircraft, which allows them to exchange quickly and safely on the ground, thus improving coordination and responsiveness during operations.
X-Power
To prolong the autonomy of devices
X-Power external batteries offer a practical solution to extend the autonomy of crosscall aircraft, thus ensuring continuous operational availability, even in situations where access to a power source is limited.
X-DOCK
To load and synchronize their devices
The X-Dock reception stations allow the police to easily load their crosscall devices and synchronize them with other peripherals, thus offering a centralized solution for the management and maintenance of devices.
Our equipment must be available at all times, in all places, and of course resistant!

The benefits
Clear decrease in incidents
Thanks to the sustainability of crosscall smartphones and tablets, the police have found a clear decrease in incidents requiring repairs or replacements, which saved maintenance costs.
Improvement of operational efficiency
The advanced features of the devices, such as pedestrian cameras and push-to-Talk communication, as well as access to business applications in real time, allowed the police and gendarmes to accomplish their missions with more efficiency and responsiveness on the ground.
A flawless deployment
Despite the scope of the operation, the deployment of 250,000 smartphones and 20,000 tablets took place without a hitch, thanks to the close collaboration with the Crosscall and Orange teams, thus guaranteeing a fluid transition to the new mobile solution.
