Push-To-Talk
Group communication
Enable your teams to communicate instantly and without limits over public or private broadband networks (PMR) with Crosscall's Push-To-Talk solution.
RADIO COMMUNICATIONS CHANGE FREQUENCY
Historically, Push-To-Talk (PTT) solutions have relied on dedicated, specific networks requiring the use of single-purpose devices that are sometimes heavy, not very scalable and have limited range.
Those days are gone. The development of new PTT standards on 4G/5G or even WiFi broadband networks means that today's fleet of business radios can be replaced by smartphones, opening up new horizons for instant group communication.
RMP (Réseau Mobile Privatif) is a private mobile telecommunications network designed for professionals with specific needs in terms of reliability and security.
Users include professionals in industry, logistics, transport and civil protection, where group communication is essential for optimal intervention.
The RMP market is undergoing a transformation, with older systems (e.g. TETRA, TETRAPOL, INPT, VHF) operating with 2G-equivalent technology being replaced by a universal, very high-speed, secure 4G system that can send data (photos, documents, videos) in addition to voice communications.
The old handheld systems will be replaced by smartphone-based digital solutions. This functionality is set to become increasingly popular in sectors such as hospitality, retail and events, where instant, enriched and fluid communication is a guarantee of security and responsiveness.

GROUP COMMUNICATION AT THE HEART OF KNOW-HOW CROSSCALL
RMP is a strategic market in which Crosscall has been present for 5 years. Today, the Aix-en-Provence-based company is present with the most demanding players in France, such as the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of the Armed Forces. In 2021, the company has been selected to equip the Gendarmerie and the Police Nationale with 230,000 terminals tailored to their very specific needs.
With these strategic projects, Crosscall has established itself as a key player in group communications, offering a complete solution. In fact, Crosscall is the only manufacturer to have a technical team dedicated to RMP in France, enabling it to discuss and understand the needs of companies and their users. The brand has also launched its own X-TALK application. Open to all, it transforms the smartphone into a real walkie-talkie, with no distance limitation.
ONE BUTTON, NO LIMIT
Thanks to its expertise with security and intervention forces, CROSSCALL offers two new models designed for RMP/group communication in even the most hostile environments, the CORE-X5 smartphone and CORE-T5 tablet.
Incorporating all 3GPP frequency bands and requirements for PTT services dedicated to RMP communication, these two new devices have been designed to meet Crosscall's exacting standards: MIL STD-810H military standard for resistance, up to 2 days' autonomy in average use, and total waterproofing against dust and liquids (IP68).
This allows users to move freely in environments that are usually hostile to electronic devices.
But what makes them particularly well-suited to this type of communication is their dedicated button, the position of which was studied in close collaboration with users in the field. Thanks to this button, the immediacy of a walkie-talkie communication remains at the heart of their use, but there are no limits to distance, number of participants or type of data to be shared, since exchanges can now be made via public mobile or wifi networks, or via private, secure networks, offering optimized service quality for the most sensitive needs.
This button, which is both waterproof and suitable for use with all types of gloves, has been tested to withstand over 700,000 presses, i.e. more than 350 presses a day for 5 years, which corresponds to its warranty period - a unique feature in the telephony market.
Particular attention has also been paid to the power and quality of the sound that is so important in this type of communication. The CORE-X5 and CORE-T5 feature a 100 dB loudspeaker for clear, audible communication, whatever the ambient noise or environment.
The microphones on these durable terminals also feature advanced noise cancellation, so that the user can be heard clearly by the caller.
Further proof of Crosscall's expertise in this field, many RMP applications and group communication services are compatible with Crosscall terminals, but some of the market's leading players such as Microsoft Teams, Orange Team Connect, Streamwide and Neo Safe have decided to go even further, forging exclusive partnerships with the French manufacturer.
Finally, thanks to X-LINK technology, Crosscall devices are at the heart of an ecosystem of accessories designed to optimize and intensify your uses, whatever your sector of activity.
So, whether you're in the company, in the field or in a secure environment, it's now possible to combine all types of communication in a single terminal, with real gains in efficiency - provided you're well equipped.
That's why our teams of specialists are here to help you make the right choices to meet your needs and those of your teams.
