As part of a call for tenders launched by the Ministry of the Interior, the National Gendarmerie and the National Police sought to modernize and improve their fleet of mobile terminals. The existing devices were basic and no longer met the evolving needs of law enforcement, particularly in terms of critical communications, network prioritization, and the use of business applications. It was crucial to find a durable, high-performance solution that was suitable for intensive use in the field.
Crosscall worked closely with teams from the French National Gendarmerie and National Police to design a secure solution, integrating a specific security layer developed by OSIIC. The rollout went smoothly, with 40,000 smartphones delivered per month for six months, thanks to constant dialogue and mutual trust between the teams.
Law enforcement agencies appreciate the Push-to-Talk feature on Crosscall devices, which allows them to communicate quickly and securely in the field, improving coordination and responsiveness during operations.
