GOOGLE ACCOUNT

First of all, if you haven’t already, create a Google account. Since Android is the operating system created by Alphabet, you will then be able to enjoy all its features: Gmail, Youtube, Google Drive, as well as Google Calendar and Contacts. Your data will be automatically synchronized across your connected devices.

To create an account, simply go to the GOOGLE site.

Ps: Create this account seriously and keep your address and password safe. If you lose your phone, you will be able to recover contacts and even locate the device directly via your computer.

SET THE DATE AND TIME

Want to take a little trip through time or just set the date and time on your smartphone? It’s very simple:

1. Open your phone settings from the main menu.
2. Scroll down the menu to the "Date / Time" tab and click on it.
3. You can choose manual or automatic time setting.

Ps: The automatic setting works thanks to the internet network. If you connect to a Wi-Fi network abroad, the time should update automatically.

1. Press the Volume Down button and the Power button simultaneously.
2. Find your screenshot in your Photo Gallery.

REMOVE THE SOUND / VIBRATIONS FROM YOUR TOUCHSCREEN KEYBOARD

1. Open your phone settings from the main menu.
2. Scroll down the menu to the "Sounds and notifications" tab and click on it.

4. You can choose to enable or disable the sound and vibrations of your touchscreen keyboard.



INSTALLING AN APP

The Play Store gives you access to over a million apps you can install. To install an app, it's very simple:

1. Open the Play Store.
2. Search for the desired app in the search bar.
3. Click the icon of the app you want to download.
4. Click the "install" button for a free app or "buy" for a paid app.
5. Installation begins. Once finished, a shortcut is created in the app launcher. You can then move it to your home page (see how to move an app).

UNINSTALL AN APP

Apps take up a lot of space on your phone's memory. So it's necessary to do some cleaning from time to time by deleting apps you no longer use. To uninstall an app, it's very simple:

1. Open the Play Store.
2. Search for the desired app in the search bar.
3. Click the icon of the app you want to uninstall.
4. Click the "Uninstall" button. If you purchased this app, the purchase will remain recorded on your Google account, allowing you to download it again for free.



MOVE AN APP ON THE HOME SCREEN

Android allows you to move your app icons on your home screen to access them more quickly. How to do it? It's very simple:

CREATE AN APP FOLDER

Organizing your apps into a folder allows you to find them faster by providing direct access from your home screen. To create a folder, it's very simple:

1. Press and hold your finger on the icon of the app to move until the screen duplicates.
2. Without releasing your finger, drag the icon over another app's icon. A white circle should appear under your finger.
3. You can release your finger. The two apps are grouped into the same folder. Similarly, you can add new apps to this same folder.



REMOVE AN APP FROM THE HOME SCREEN

You want to remove an app from your home screen without uninstalling it. It's very simple:

  1. Press and hold your finger on the icon of the app you want to remove from the home screen.
  2. Slide it to the "delete" button that appears at the top left of your screen.
  3. You can release your finger.

DISABLE NOTIFICATIONS FOR AN APP

Notifications allow you to be alerted but can be intrusive, so sometimes it can be useful to disable them. It's very simple:

1. Open your phone's "Settings" from the main menu.
2. Open the "Sounds and Notifications" tab.
3. Open the "App Notifications" tab.
4. Choose your app.
5. You can choose whether or not to allow the app to generate different types of notifications:
– No notification
– Display them even when priority mode is activated
– Display them on the lock screen

CLOSE RUNNING APPLICATIONS (TASK MANAGER)

When you return to your menu, apps may continue running in the background. This extended activity can reduce your battery life. You can stop an app’s activity using the task manager. It’s very simple:

2. Swipe left or right with your finger on the apps you want to stop activity for

USE YOUR PHONE AS A MODEM - CONNECTION SHARING

You are on the go and want to connect to the Internet to check your emails or access your documents; your smartphone can share its Internet connection with another device like a computer, for example. To use this feature, you must have an appropriate subscription (data) and 3G/4G internet access. To activate sharing, it’s very simple:

WIFI / BLUETOOTH

1. Access your phone's "Settings" from the main menu.
2. Select the "Wireless and networks" category.
3. Open the "More" tab then "Connection Sharing."
4. On first use, enter "WIFI Hotspot Settings"
– Customize the name and password of your hotspot
– Return to the "Connection Sharing" menu
– Check the box for the "Wi-Fi Hotspot" or Bluetooth line depending on your preferences.

By searching for a wifi or bluetooth network from your computer or tablet, you will see your phone's router appear. Simply connect to it using your password.

USB

1. Connect your two devices using the USB OTG port.
2. Access your smartphone's "Settings" through the main menu.
3. Select the "More" tab in the "Wireless and networks" category
4. Open the "Connection Sharing" tab
5. Activate the "Via USB" function
