The main environmental impacts of our company are generated by our products themselves. Reducing their impacts—from design to end of life is therefore the most powerful lever to improve the overall impact of our company.

To achieve this, we design robust, durable products, both hardware and software, that are easy to repair by a professional and to refurbish at the end of their life. We involve our users in the design process so that our products meet their real needs over time.

Finally, we consider that eco-design is a continuous improvement process with new areas to explore, while measuring the effects of these choices on the impacts of our products.

Eco-design: a continuous improvement approach

The success of integrating recycled materials into the STELLAR-X5 in 2024 served as an example for the next model, the STELLAR-M6, which incorporates 23% recycled materials while maintaining the durability and resistance standards unique to Crosscall.

Other eco-design advances illustrate the logic of continuous improvement in our approach. For example, the choice of components allowing an increased number of supported OS updates, up to 4 system updates for the STELLAR-M6.

Systematization of Life Cycle Analyses

The results of the Life Cycle Analysis of the STELLAR-X5 model in 2024, which helped better visualize the impacts of our eco-design efforts, led to the decision to systematically conduct LCAs for all our new catalog products.

These results also allow us to enrich our eco-design roadmap and prioritize our next research directions.
