The technical sophistication and durability of the devices, combined with Orange Leasing's mobile fleet rental service based on the circular economy model, enabled Orange Business and Crosscall to stand out and win the tender launched by Leroy Merlin to renew its mobile fleet. More than 30,000 devices will be provided to all employees of one of France's favorite retailers (Palmarès Marketing and EY-Parthenon 2023) for use in their various roles: sales, in-store customer service, logistics, security, administrative services, and management committees.
This success for Orange Business and Crosscall, in one of the most important tenders in French telecommunications in 2023, demonstrates their ability to meet Leroy Merlin's requirements and the specific needs of its various employees. It is one of the largest B2B contracts won by the manufacturer and the first of this scale in the retail sector.
More than 29,000 STELLAR-X5 smartphones—the latest model launched by Crosscall—will be provided to all Leroy Merlin employees. An additional 3,000 CORE-X5 smartphones will form a shared mobile fleet to meet any extra needs.
Crosscall’s ecosystem of accessories, a true strength of the French brand, has also been embraced by Leroy Merlin, which has ordered more than 700 X-SCAN units—optical scanner modules that turn smartphones into high-performance barcode scanners in any situation.
“We are proud to partner with one of France’s leading brands andto equip its 30,000 employees with the STELLAR-X5, a smartphone designed to combine technical and environmental performance,” said Cyril Vidal, Founder and President of Crosscall.
“We are working with Leroy Merlin to develop a comprehensive approach to support them in their digital and sustainable transformation. Today, with Crosscall, we are taking a new step forward in our shared goal of reducing the carbon footprint of telecommunications usage, ”said François Fleutiaux, Managing Director of Orange Business France.
