To help you get the most out of your CROSSCALL, here are some tips for using Android.

That's why we wanted to offer you some tips and tricks so that you can get the most out of your CROSSCALL Action Phone.





GOOGLE ACCOUNT

First and foremost, if you haven't already done so, create a Google account. Android is the operating system created by Alphabet, so you can then enjoy all its features: Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and Contacts. Your data will be automatically synchronized between your various connected devices.

To create an account, simply visit the GOOGLE website.

Ps: Create this account carefully and keep your address and password safe. If you lose your phone, you will be able to recover your contacts and even geolocate the device directly from your computer.

SET THE DATE AND TIME

Want to take a little trip back in time or simply set the date and time on your smartphone? It's very simple:

1. Open your phone's settings from the main menu.
2. Scroll down to the "Date/Time" tab and click on it.
3. You can choose to set the time manually or automatically.

Ps: The automatic setting works via the internet. If you connect to a Wi-Fi network abroad, the time should update automatically.

Want to keep track of information without having to write it down, or simply capture a friend's Snapchat? Screenshots are the best solution! It's very simple:

1. Press the Volume Down button and the Power button simultaneously.
2. Find your screenshot in your Photo Gallery.

P.S.: Don't forget that if you take a screenshot of a friend's Snapchat, they will be notified of your action!

REMOVE THE SOUND/VIBRATIONS FROM YOUR TOUCH KEYBOARD

Would you like to turn off the sound and/or vibration of your keyboard keys? It's very simple:

1. Open your phone's settings from the main menu.
2. Scroll down to the "Sounds and notifications" tab and click on it.
3. Click on the "Other sounds" tab.
4. You can choose to enable or disable the sound and vibration of your touch keyboard.



INSTALL AN APPLICATION

The Play Store gives you access to over a million apps that you can install. Installing an app is very simple:

1. Open the Play Store.
2. Search for the desired app in the search bar.
3. Click on the icon of the app you want to download.
4. Click on the "Install" button for a free app or "Buy" for a paid app.
5. The installation will begin. Once it is complete, a shortcut will be created in the app launcher. You can then move it to your home screen (see how to move an app).

UNINSTALL AN APPLICATION

Apps take up a lot of space on your phone's memory. So, you should clean up your phone from time to time by deleting apps you no longer use. Uninstalling an app is very simple:

1. Open the Play Store.
2. Search for the desired app in the search bar.
3. Click on the icon of the app you want to uninstall.
4. Click on the "Uninstall" button. If you purchased this app, the purchase will remain registered on your Google account, allowing you to download it again for free.



MOVE AN APPLICATION TO THE HOME SCREEN

Android allows you to move your app icons around on your home screen so you can access them more quickly. How do you do this? It's very simple:

1. Press and hold your finger on the icon of the app you want to move until the screen splits in two.
2. Without lifting your finger, drag the icon to the desired location.
3. You can now lift your finger.

CREATE AN APPLICATION FILE

Organizing your apps into a folder allows you to find them more quickly by enabling direct access from your home screen. Creating a folder is very simple:

1. Press and hold your finger on the icon of the app you want to move until the screen splits in two.
2. Without lifting your finger, drag the icon onto another app. A white circle should appear under your finger.
3. You can now release your finger. The two apps are now grouped together in the same folder. You can add new apps to this folder in the same way.



REMOVING AN APPLICATION FROM THE HOME SCREEN

You want to remove an app from your home screen without uninstalling it. It's very simple:

  1. Press and hold your finger on the icon of the app you want to remove from the home screen.
  2. Drag it to the "delete" button that appears at the top left of your screen.
  3. You can release your finger.

DISABLE NOTIFICATIONS FROM AN APPLICATION

Notifications allow you to be alerted but can be intrusive, so it can sometimes be useful to disable them. It's very simple:

1. Open your phone's "Settings" from the main menu.
2. Open the "Sounds and Notifications" tab.
3. Open the "App notifications" tab.
4. Select your app.
5. You can choose whether or not to allow the app to generate different types of notifications:
– No notifications
– Show them even when priority mode is enabled
– Show them on the lock screen
Note that the last two modes can be complementary.




CLOSE APPLICATIONS THAT ARE RUNNING (TASK MANAGER)

When you return to your menu, applications may continue to run in the background. This prolonged activity can reduce your battery life. You can stop an application's activity using the task manager. It's very simple:

1. Tap the "square" button (or press the center button twice simultaneously if your phone is running a version of Android earlier than 5.1.1)
2. Use your finger to swipe left or right on the apps you want to stop.

USE YOUR PHONE AS A MODEM - SHARING YOUR CONNECTION

If you are traveling and want to connect to the Internet to check your emails or access your documents, your smartphone can share its Internet connection with another device, such as a computer. To take advantage of this feature, you must have a suitable data plan and 3G/4G Internet access. Activating sharing is very simple:

WIFI / BLUETOOTH

1. Access your phone's "Settings" from the main menu.
2. Select the "Wireless & networks" category.
3. Open the "More" tab, then "Tethering."
4. When using for the first time, go to "Wi-Fi hotspot settings."
– Customize the name and password for your hotspot.
– Return to the "Tethering" menu.
– Check the box for "Wi-Fi hotspot" or Bluetooth, depending on your preference.

When searching for a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth network from your computer or tablet, your phone's router will appear. Simply connect to it using your password.

USB

1. Connect your two devices using the USB OTG port.
2. Go to "Settings" on your smartphone via the main menu.
3. Select the "More" tab in the "Wireless & networks" category.
4. Open the "Tethering & portable hotspot" tab.
5. Enable the "Via USB" function.
