THE CHALLENGE

How did you organize the fleet of mobile terminals?
On the move throughout their working day, our technicians are all equipped with smartphones that respond to classic functions: consulting their work order and accessing the business applications dedicated to them. Until November 2018, all our teams were equipped with resistant models from classic cell phone brands. But faced with a still too high number of breakages, we realized that this choice was not optimal.

What was your problem?
Since our activities involve the construction, installation and maintenance of telecom networks, our technicians have to travel to different sites. They work outdoors in environments that are sometimes difficult to access, at heights using aerial platforms, but also underground to reach telecom rooms that are often infiltrated by rainwater. Faced with these hostile environments, the challenge was to find resistant smartphones to
reduce the number of breakages.
