OBJECTIVE ROUTE DU RHUM 2022

   - June 15, 2020

For the next three years, CROSSCALL will be working alongside two-time freeride ski world champion and skipper Aurélien Ducroz. The goal: the Route du Rhum 2022! A daring project that will see the construction of a boat in the CROSSCALL colors, and which will take the brand and its ambassador to some of the world's greatest ocean races: the Transat Jacques Vabre in 2021 and the Route du Rhum in 2022.

UNITED UNDER THE CROSSCALL SAILING TEAM BANNER

After a first successful experience in the Transat Jacques Vabre 2019, it was only natural that CROSSCALL, responded when the double freeride ski world champion presented his new project: to be at the start of the next Route du Rhum aboard a high-performance boat.

Aurélien Ducroz imagines his boat to be innovative and high-performance, using sustainable materials. These are values shared by CROSSCALL which, since its creation 10 years ago, has made the lifespan of its products a priority. Backed by this commitment, CROSSCALL even decided last February to extend its warranty to 3 years on its new CORE range and all its future products. 3 years is also the length of CROSSCALL s commitment to Aurélien through this partnership. Through this project, CROSSCALL aims to make a lasting contribution to the world of sailing, and to promote its products to sailing enthusiasts and professionals alike, as well as to all those with a passion for adventure.

Portrait Aurélien Ducroz, skipper
We've built up a real relationship of trust with Aurélien over the years, and it was obvious to us that this collaboration should be a long-term one. I admire Aurélien's career path and his constant desire to surpass himself by moving from one discipline to another, always at the highest level. Cyril Vidal

FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE SEA: A CHALLENGE FOR CROSSCALL AND AURÉLIEN DUCROZ!

For this major challenge, Aurélien wanted to go even further by realizing every sailor's dream of "building his own boat". After a 5th-place finish in the last Transat Jacques Vabre, CROSSCALL and Aurélien Ducroz now want to go further and perform together. A project that testifies to the relationship forged in recent years between the brand and its ambassador, and the shared desire to write a unique story between the sea and the mountains. The CROSSCALL SAILING TEAM's 3-year partnership promises to be rich in emotion and adventure, and will soon be joined by other partners.

I'm so happy that Crosscall is supporting me in this project. More than just a financial sponsor, it's a team that places innovation and technical expertise at the heart of its corporate policy, and that's going to support me throughout this adventure. Aurélien Ducroz

THE RUM ROUTE... YES, I'M GOING TO DO THE RUM ROUTE!"

After a career at the very highest level of freeride skiing (double world champion / 4-time winner of the Verbier Xtreme), Aurélien Ducroz set himself an uncommon challenge 10 years ago: to set out to conquer the oceans, always with the same quest for performance and self-improvement. Quickly accepted by his peers, the man from Haute-Savoie surrounded himself with the best to progress and perfect his skills. Whether at sea or in the mountains, what drives him is to surpass himself and brave the elements that surround him. After 3 Tour de France à la Voile and 5 transatlantic races, Aurélien has now set himself the ultimate challenge: to sail single-handed to Pointe-à-Pitre in the Route du Rhum 2022. A first for the skipper, who will be aiming for the top places in the rankings.
