WHAT IS THE POWER SAVING MODE?
This new mode allows you to optimize your autonomy to the maximum. You'll reduce power consumption to a minimum by using the essential functions of your TREKKER-X3. Whether you're out for a day or several days, you'll always be reachable by deactivating the most energy-hungry applications (social networks, GPS tracking, etc.).
HOW TO ACTIVATE THE POWER SAVING MODE?
There are 2 ways to display Power Saving Mode:
- Drag the taskbar down and activate Power Saving Mode by clicking on the icon.
- Go to " Settings " on your TREKKER-X3, then " Battery ", and click on " Power save mode " in the "three dots" menu at top right.
To access this mode, you need to install the latest update. Go to the applications menu on your TREKKER-X3, click on the " Update " icon and the download will start automatically.
How does Power Saving Mode work?
- By activating it, your screen will be displayed in shades of gray and brightness will be reduced by 50%.
- Your usual interface will give way to a new, more streamlined one. Only 8 applications can be displayed on the main screen, 4 of which are customizable.
- You will only have access to basic applications:
- Phone
- SMS / MMS
- Internet. Here, your connection will switch from 4G+ to 2G, except when you open your browser, connectivity will be in 3G+. As soon as you open another application, the connection will switch back to 2G.
- SOS function
- You can add 4 applications (native or not), by clicking on the "+" shortcut. Note that you won't have access to the Play Store, so you won't be able to add a new app.
In the taskbar, only notifications will appear. All other icons will disappear.
Your smartphone's Settings will only be accessible via the "three dots" in the top right-hand corner, and will also be restricted here:
- Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth
- The various cellular networks (NFC, Bluetooth...) and airplane mode
- The display
- Sounds and notifications
- Location
- The Power Saving Mode will cut the various connections: Bluetooth, NFC, Wi-Fi and Geolocation to minimize power consumption. But you'll still have access to your mobile data.
- To deactivate the mode, press the " three dots " in the top right-hand corner, then select " Deactivate energy-saving mode ".
How do I activate the automatic Power Saving Mode?
Go to " Settings " then " Battery ". Select " Power save mode ". In the " Activate automatically " tab, you can then choose to activate the functionality according to different thresholds (between 5 and 35% remaining battery).
When the phone reaches the selected threshold, it automatically switches to Power Saving Mode.
How do I install the update on my TREKKER-X3?
The update is currently being deployed*. To install it, go to the applications menu on your TREKKER-X3, click on the " Update " icon and it will load automatically, or press "INSTALL".
This software update installs software L1316.6.02.04.FR00 on your Trekker-X3. It improves system performance and stability, and corrects bugs.
New functions have been added:
- Snapchat display bug fixed
- Improved flashlight behavior
- Improving network quality with Orange
We recommend that you download this update via a Wi-Fi connection. If you download via a mobile or roaming network connection, additional charges may apply.
While the update is being installed, your device will remain unavailable.
