A cell phone's level of resistance to solids and liquids is certified by the IP (Protection Index) standard created by the International Electrotechnical Commission. The design of waterproof phones
Not all waterproof smartphones are hermetically sealed against the same liquids and solids. While most provide protection against water, our engineers have chosen components and technologies thatprovide optimum sealing against a wide range of liquids: fresh water, salt water, paint, oil, snow, chlorinated water, hydroalcoholic gel... but also dust, sand and other microscopic residues.
As a result, our waterproof cell phones are designed using high-performance materials:
