The resilience and long autonomy of the terminals, combined with high-quality, secure connectivity, have enabled Orange Business Services and CROSSCALL to distinguish themselves. The operator and digital services company, together with the outdoor mobile technology specialist, have met the intense usage requirements of the Gendarmerie Nationale and the Police Nationale, and won this contract, supported by the Ministry of the Interior, for the renewal of their mobile fleet. Compatibility with Private Mobile Radio/Public safety standards and terminal durability were key criteria in the tender.

A 100% FRENCH SOLUTION
By integrating Orange SIM cards, security forces benefit from real-time access to business applications while on the move. For its part, CROSSCALL is demonstrating its expertise in the design of durable terminals and its ability to meet large-scale requirements. This is the largest contract ever won by the French company: over 200,000 CORE-X4 NEO smartphones and CORE-T4 NEO tablets, models from its CORE range optimized to meet the specific needs of security forces.
By combining their expertise, Orange Business Services and CROSSCALL are offering a sovereign device combining equipment and connectivity offering a high level of technological performance at the cutting edge of innovation. These synergies will enable us to support security forces in their digital transition as close to the field as possible.

STATE-OF-THE-ART EQUIPMENT
The terminals, acclaimed for their ruggedness, waterproofing and long battery life, will be deployed over the coming months. Delivered with a " Google Android Open Source Project " operating system (with no manufacturer or operator overlay), they enable the Ministry of the Interior to install its own security layer, developed by the Operateur des Systèmes d'Information Interministériels Classifiés (OSIIC), an entity of the SGDSN. The aim is to encrypt communications and secure mobile applications on the terminal.
Police officers and gendarmes will have all the tools they need for their day-to-day work available on their tablet or smartphone. In addition to "Push-to-X" enriched group communication solutions (voice, text, photo, video), they will have access to over sixty business applications, to check identity or driver's license validity in real time, for example.

TERMINALS COMPATIBLE WITH THE PMR ECOSYSTEM
In addition to these uses, the French Ministry of the Interior wanted to equip itself with devices compatible with the PC STORM solution deployed in cooperation with Orange Business Services. CROSSCALL terminals can thus be used within this technical solution, enabling users to benefit from all its services, including prioritization and pre-emption mechanisms. The latter ensures that security forces can transmit their communications with high reliability, quality of service and reachability, even during local traffic saturations encountered on the mobile network.
The expertise of Orange Business Services and CROSSCALL in terms of technological compatibility, proven within the framework of the PC STORM project, today enables them to assert themselves as trusted players in the defense and security market, and to jointly respond to specific calls for tender.
