Isabeau, 2019 Enduro World Series champion

   - Sept. 23, 2019

It's done! Isabeau Courdurier is officially the 2019 Enduro World Series champion! Last Saturday, she competed in the final stage of this global competition in Zermatt, Switzerland. Her previous 7 victories ensured her the title in any case, with an overall score that was unassailable by her rivals. But Isabeau wished to wait until the end of the competition before savouring her victory to the full. She had a faultless campaign, winning 8 out of 8 stages! Here's a look back at her season.

HELLO ISABEAU, CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR SEASON?

It's been 3 years since I finished second in the Enduro World Series. This year I set out with the aim of scoring as many points as possible at each stage and staying ahead of the competition. In the end, I managed to win every stage up to Northstar. So I knew I'd win the overall regardless of my score in Zermatt. The aim in Zermatt was to enjoy myself. I also took the opportunity to test a new bike, a prototype with new geometry. A real challenge for me, but at the same time I had nothing to lose!

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?

I'd like to try out some new things, try my hand at downhill and then get some rest! After stage 7, it was very hard physically. I think that knowing that it was finally done, that the title was there, my body totally released the pressure and I had three rather complicated weeks where I was very tired.

YOU'RE EQUIPPED WITH TWO CROSSCALL PHONES. HOW DO THEY SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS?

So I'm equipped with a TREKKER-X4 and a SPIDER-X1.

The TREKKER-X4 is very useful for my training. With the X-BIKE bike mount, I can follow my route on a map during my outings. I also use it for photography and video. I use the altimeter function of the X-SENSORS app a lot . In fact, it's the first thing I look at when I arrive at a competition venue. Altitude is a very important parameter in this type of discipline. It's going to affect my physical fitness, so I'll be able to put in a greater or lesser effort. I'm really careful about that.

For my races, I use the SPIDER-X1. As I don't want to know the results during the race, the SPIDER-X1 is perfect because it doesn't have internet. It allows me to contact Cédric (his manager) if I ever have a problem and need help. On top of that, it's a very light, space-saving phone.

A big BRAVO from the whole team CROSSCALL team to our ambassador!
